The symptoms of prostate cancer and an enlarged prostate are similar, so it will take a visit to the doctor to determine whether you indeed have prostate cancer or related prostate problems.
Here are some of the symptoms of both:
- Difficulty urinating
- Needing to rush to the toilet to urinate
- Frequent nighttime urination
- Pain while urinating
- Blood in your urine or semen
The last two symptoms are rare in individuals who have prostate cancer.
Most enlarged prostates are not cancerous. However, it is important to visit your doctor if you have any of the above symptoms.
